JUPITER, Florida — BYU left tackle Brady Christensen, quarterback Zach Wilson and wide receiver Dax Milne received All-America recognition on Monday by Pro Football Focus. It marks the first time since 2008 that three Cougars were named All-Americans in the same year, when Dennis Pitta, Austin Collie and Dallas Reynolds were all honored.
Christensen was named to the PFF All-America First Team at left tackle, having earned grades above 95.0 as both a pass-blocker and run-blocker throughout the 2020 season. The 6-foot-6 300-pound junior has posted a 96.4 overall grade for the year and is on pace to break the PFF college record set by 2019 Outland Trophy winner Penei Sewell last season.
In 11 games, Christensen allowed just three pressures across 372 pass-blocking snaps. He is the first Cougar to earn PFF All-America accolades since BYU center Tejan Koroma was named to the second team in 2017.
Christian Darrisaw of Virginia Tech was named second-team left tackle, while Samuel Cosmi of Texas was third team and Liam Eichenberg of Notre Dame received honorable mention.
BYU quarterback Zach Wilson was named to the PFF All-America Second Team behind first-team selection Mac Jones of Alabama. Kyle Trask at Florida was third team and Spencer Rattler at Oklahoma received honorable mention.
Wilson, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound junior, has led BYU to a 10-1 record and a No. 13 national ranking in The Associated Press Top 25 and No. 15 ranking in the Amway Coaches Poll. Wilson leads a BYU offense that ranks No. 9 in scoring (43.0 ppg) and No. 10 in total offense (510.1 ypg).
In addition to receiving Heisman Trophy consideration, Wilson is a finalist for the Manning Award and a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year, Maxwell Award and the Davey O'Brien Award.
Joining Wilson on the second team is his top target Dax Milne, who is No. 4 in the nation in receiving yards with 1,118 and No. 11 in catches with 63.
Milne, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior, leads BYU in receptions and receiving yards and has caught eight touchdowns on the year. He is currently averaging 101.6 yards per game and 17.7 yards a catch. Milne is the 17th receiver in BYU history to reach 1,000 yards receiving in a season. His 1,118 yards so far this season currently ranks seventh best all-time at BYU.
A semifinalist for both the Belitnikoff Award and the Burlsworth Trophy, Milne was named to the second team with Jaquaril Roberson of Wake Forest. First-team honorees included DeVonta Smith of Alabama and Elijah Moore of Ole Miss.
