SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Junior Taylei Williams and senior Rylee Jensen-McFarland were named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, the conference announced Wednesday.

BYU had five other players named honorable mentions, including Morgan Bevell, Brooke Hill, Autumn Moffat, Erin Miklus and Aubrielle Paulson.

Williams, an exercise and wellness major, split her time between center field and shortstop for the Cougars 2020 season and was previously named to the CoSIDA All-District Team. Jensen-McFarland, a two-time WCC All-Academic Team selection, started and played in all 23 games of the 2020 season as BYU's leadoff hitter. The senior led the team during the season in batting average (.441), runs (24), hits (30), doubles (5), triples (2), slugging percentage (.838), walks (11), on-base percentage (.518) and stolen bases (5)

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.
