Q: What or who is your inspiration?
A: My mom is such an inspiration to me. She has gone through a lot in her life and continues to accomplish more than what is on her plate.
Q: Something no one would guess about you is?
A: I love to play Lord of the Rings on Play Station 2
Q: What's your most extreme dream/goal?
A: I would love to be able to help children in another country learn to read, as well as become a friend whom they can love and trust. I would also like to adopt at least two children from another country.
Q: What is your biggest accomplishment in life so far?
A: Coming to BYU and earning a degree, as well as competing in collegiate sports for four years.
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: Hopefully with a child, somewhere in the world.
Q: How'd you get started in swimming?
A: My mother swam for BYU as well. I grew up being coached by her all the way, she helped me to get here and she was the reason I began swimming.
Q: Why swimming?
A: My mother swam so she obviously wanted us to swim, but I am the only one who has really committed to it. My parents told me I was too uncoordinated in other sports to play them, so I stuck to swimming.
Q: How did you spend your off-season?
A: Working in Utah, swimming some and hanging out with my husband doing a lot of biking and camping.
Q: Do you have any pre-meet rituals?
A: I love to listen to some good pumpin' music with Tara's ipod. Black Eyed Peas are a must before a race.
Q: Do you have a good luck charm? If so, what is it?
A: My BYU swim cap, just looking at it makes me lucky.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: I am in love with Harry Potter, not only the books, but the actual character as well. I love reading and I recently started to become addicted to cooking. Sleeping is one of the first things I think of though when I know I have some free time to spare.
Q: If you could invite any three people to dinner who would they be?
A: Adam Brody, John Steinbeck and John Stockton
Q: Who has had the greatest influence on your swimming career?
A: My mom definitely
Q: What do you appreciate most about Coach Powers, Crump or Russell?
