PROVO -- The BYU men's golf program is sponsoring the 2007 Cougar Day on Monday at its home course, Riverside Country Club, on the first tee from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
As part of the event, former BYU golfers and the 2007-08 team will be introduced, and a PGA Tour Clinic will be held. PGA Hall-of-Famer Billy Casper will emcee the event, and former BYU greats Mike Reid, Pat McGowan, Dean Wilson, and Daniel Summerhays will be in attendance to run the clinic.
Reid currently plays on the PGA Champions Tour and has three top-10 finishes. McGowan was an All-American at BYU and currently plays on the PGA Tour. Wilson has four top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour and is No. 75 in the Fedex Cup standings. Summerhayes has two top-10 finished on the Nationwide Tour.
The event is open to the public and admission is free. Prizes will be awarded in a long drive contest and a chipping contest.
