BYUtv to broadcast two-hour special edition of BYU Sports Nation live from Fan Fest
Kalani Sitake, Mark Pope and athletes from BYU sports teams will be in Tennessee this Saturday, May 18, for a Fan Fest at Charlie Daniels Park near Nashville.
Fans are encouraged to attend the free event that takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT. Charlie Daniels Park is located at 1075 Charlie Daniels Parkway in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee just east of Nashville. The Fan Fest will feature members of the BYU football, men’s basketball, women's basketball and women's soccer teams as well as Cosmo and the BYU cheer squad.
BYUtv will also be in Tennessee on Saturday to bring all of Cougar Nation a live look at the atmosphere and festivities of the Fan Fest in a special two-hour BYU Sports Nation broadcast on BYUtv and BYU Radio/Sirius XM 143. The special broadcast will feature interviews with BYU athletes and coaches by Jarom Jordan, Spencer Linton and Jason Shepherd. The two-hour broadcast begins at Noon CDT (10 a.m. PDT, 11 a.m. MDT, 1 p.m. EDT).
Nearly a dozen members of the BYU football team will be participating in the Fan Fest. The football team will return to Tennessee in September for its first road game of the 2019 season, taking on the Tennessee Volunteers of the Southeastern Conference in Knoxville on Sept. 7.
Fans attending the event will have the chance to interact with the coaches and student-athletes, including getting autographs and taking photos, while also enjoying other games and festivities such as balloon artists, free face painting, inflatables, and more. Cougar apparel from the BYU Store will also be available at the event.
This is the seventh-straight season BYU Athletics has traveled to conduct a Fan Fest event for fans across the country. BYU Fan Fests provide fans the opportunity to meet BYU coaches and athletes in similar fashion to the annual August Cougar Kickoff held each year in Provo for local fans.
