PROVO – In a match against the top two teams in the West Coast Conference, No. 10 BYU women's volleyball goes on the road to face No. 24 San Diego on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. PT.

The Cougars (22-3, 13-1) and Toreros (20-5, 13-1) are tied atop the conference standings with four matches left to play. Friday's match will put the winner in the driver's seat to claim the WCC title and the auto bid to the NCAA Tournament.

BYU is 10-9 all-time against San Diego, 4-6 on the road. The Toreros slipped by the Cougars in Provo earlier this year, winning in five sets. Under head coach Heather Olmstead, BYU is 6-3 against USD, including 3-1 on the road.

No team in the nation has a better record on the road this season than BYU at 11-0 on the year. The Cougars are one of five teams nationally with a perfect road record and the only team among that group with at least 11 wins. The Cougars have won 42 of their last 43 regular season road contests dating back to Oct. 15, 2016, including going 12-1 in 2018 and 13-0 in 2017 after winning their final six regular season road matches in 2016.

The Cougars currently rank in the top 35 nationally in four major categories: No. 21 in hitting percentage (.271), No. 25 in opposing hitting percentage (.160), No. 24 in blocks per set (2.62) and No. 32 in aces per set (1.65).
