BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – BYU women’s golf sits in ninth, with Lilly McCauley, Sunbin Seo and Adeline Anderson in the top 25 after the first 36 holes at the Dale McNamara Invitational.
The Cougars finished the opening day in ninth at 591, two strokes back from Kennesaw State, after shooting rounds of 304 and 287.
After rounds of 75 and 69, McCauley sits at even-par and in a tie for 14th. The sophomore’s 3-under-par afternoon round included six birdies to help her hop 20 spots on the individual leaderboard.
Seo, who is playing as an individual, carded consistent rounds of 73 and 72 and will enter the final round in a tie for 18th at 1-over-par.
Following close behind her teammates, Anderson is in a tie for 23rd (75-71–146; +2). MJ Barragan carded two rounds of 75 to sit at 6-over-par.
Lila Galeai (79-75–154; +10) and Berlin Long (83-72–155; +11) round out the Cougar squad.
BYU will tee it off in the final round with Southern Mississippi, Cal Poly, and Oklahoma City University at 8:30 a.m. CDT on Tuesday.
