BYU Football celebrates Jewish holidays with Kosher food truck

To honor Jewish holidays this week, the BYU football program invited a Kosher food truck to feed the team on Tuesday, October 3.

PROVO, Utah — To honor Jewish holidays this week, the BYU football program invited a Kosher food truck to feed the team on Tuesday, October 3.

Sukkot is a week-long Jewish holiday that celebrates the fall harvest. It is one of the most joyful festivals in Judaism, meant to bring families, friends and communities together. The holiday also commemorates the 40 years that Jews spent in the desert after escaping slavery in Egypt.

Jake Retzlaff, a quarterback on the BYU football team, is a member of the Jewish faith.
