Dunyon and Huang fall in Round of 32 at ITA Nationals

SAN DIEGO — In the round of 32 at the ITA National Fall Championships on Wednesday, Jacque Dunyon and Bobo Huang faced a formidable challenge, contending with Keiser University's Violet Apisah and Vanja Vidanovic. They fell to their opponents with a final score of 6-1, 6-3.

"Today was a bit challenging," said head coach Holly Hasler. "We didn't perform at our best and had difficulty executing our game plan. However, we remain grateful for the opportunity to learn from today's experience and improve in the days to come."

Despite trailing 5-0 in the first set, Dunyon and Huang fought back, narrowing the deficit to 5-1 before falling in the first set with a score of 6-1. In the second set, they started strong, winning the first game and taking a 1-0 lead. However, they were ultimately defeated 6-3.

Looking ahead, the Cougars will return to action next week in Waco, Texas, as they participate in the Big 12 Fall Championships.
