PROVO, Utah – BYU continued its rise in the AP Poll, moving up two spots to 12th in the latest poll released on Monday morning. It ties the Cougars highest ranking under fifth-year head coach Mark Pope.
The Cougars enter Big 12 play at 12-1 after concluding the non-conference portion of its schedule last weekend with a 94-68 victory over Wyoming in front of sellout crowd at the Marriott Center. They continue to lead the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio and assists per game after its 27-assist performance against the Cowboys.
BYU is one of six schools from the Big 12 represented in the Top 25 with No. 2 Kansas, No. 3 Houston, No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 18 Baylor and No. 20 Texas. Purdue remained atop the poll followed by Kansas, Houston, UConn and Tennessee.
