Quotes

Associate Director of Track & Field, Diljeet Taylor

"I was really pleased having three women score in the mile and then coming back and scoring three women again in the 3,000m. Then, obviously having our first Big 12 women's champion with Lexy. That was such a great race for her and a great confidence builder going into NCAA's."

Sprinter, Jaslyn Gardner

"I have really focused on executing my race plans this season and I have been pretty consistent. This weekend seemed to be an even bigger reflection of that. I got better and better throughout the season and hope to do the same for outdoor. I want to keep chipping away at my personal records and try to qualify for regionals and nationals."

Distance Runner, Lexy Halladay-Lowry

"It is great to be in a new conference with championship-style racing to practice closing hard. We haven't had that in the past. Going into nationals, this race gives me a lot of confidence."

4x400m anchor, Sami Oblad

"We had a lot of good energy from all four of us. Everyone was stoked to run with just the right amount of nerves and it played out perfectly."

The Cougars will return to action at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships March 8-9 in Boston.
