PROVO, Utah – Justin Young has been named the director of recruiting for BYU men’s basketball, head coach Kevin Young announced on Friday.
“Justin is a welcomed addition to our staff,” Young said. “He is a creative mind that will help us think outside of the box. Justin has a lifetime of experience in the recruiting space and brings invaluable knowledge with him that will impact our recruiting structure in many ways. He will be a major asset to our program with his big-picture thinking as we leverage his network of relationships.”
Young comes to Provo having spent the past decade as the co-owner and editor-in-chief of HoopSeen.com. He managed the day-to-day operations on the site in conjunction with running national and regional events.
Young was a longtime board and voting member for several prep All-American teams and camps.
He was previously the national basketball editor for Rivals.com and a contributing editor at Yahoo! Sports.
