Cougars tip off 2024-25 season at Big 12 Basketball Media Days

PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s basketball head coach Amber Whiting, Amari Whiting, Emma Calvert and Kemery Congdon will represent the Cougars at Big 12 Basketball Media Days in Kansas City, Mo. at the T-Mobile Center on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Big 12 Basketball Media Days is a two-day event at which national, regional and local media get a first look at all 16 Big 12 men’s and women’s basketball programs. The Cougars will participate in content collection and media interviews beginning at 7 a.m. MT.

Coach Whiting and her players will field questions from the media in a press conference format from 10-10:10 a.m. MT on the main stage. Coach Whiting will answer follow-up questions in a one-on-one format from 10:30-11 a.m. MT followed by Amari Whiting, Calvert and Congdon from 11-11:30 a.m. MT.

The day for BYU will culminate with an appearance by Coach Whiting and Congdon on ESPN+ at 11:43 p.m. MT.

Following media day, the Cougars will finish their final preparations for the 2024-25 season with an exhibition game against the Westminster Griffins on Oct. 29. BYU will then welcome the Idaho Vandals to the Marriott Center on Nov. 6 for the season opener with both games scheduled for a 7 p.m. MT tip.
