FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Cougars (294-300-305–899) took fourth place at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational at Blessings Golf Club on Wednesday.
After competing across three days and three rounds of 18, the Cougars are coming home with a fourth place finish and top-10 finish from Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan (71-72-74–217).
Barragan shot a 2-over par throughout the third round of play, putting her on track to finish the competition 1-over and finishing in sixth place. This is the third tournament in a row that Barragan has finished in the top 10.
Freshman Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul (77-73-77–227) finished the tournament tied for 17th. She shot 11-over throughout the week.
Lilly DeNunzio (76-76-76–228) tied for 19th after she shot 12-over on the week.
Senior Alexa Udom (70-79-91–240) shot 24-over to finish tied for 45th. Whitney Banz (82-81-78–241) tied for 47th place after she shot 25-over through the tournament.
The Cougars tee off next at the Dale McNamara Invitational at the Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Bow from Oct. 14-15.
