PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s tennis had their seven-match win streak snapped with a 4-1 loss at home to No. 70 Denver. 

“Everyone fought and competed very hard, which I think we’re very proud of,” said coach Jonathan Sanchez. “At the end of the day we still need to be able to play good tennis, so we’re going to rest tonight and see how we can pick ourselves up tomorrow.”

Despite losing 4-1, the Cougars had tough competitions throughout the night. Chodur, Goldammer, and Wells were all involved in tiebreaks and the doubles point was decided by just five games spread across the three sets. This loss gives BYU a 9-2 record and their first loss at home this season.
