PROVO, Utah — No. 57 BYU men’s tennis welcomes two top 15 teams to Provo this week. The Cougars face No. 2 TCU on Thursday, March 27, and then No. 15 Baylor on Saturday, March 29.

BYU Notes

  • BYU picked up its best-ranked win in over 25 years against No. 11 UCF in Provo last week.
  • The Cougars also notched their first Big 12 win since joining the conference last season.
  • BYU’s No. 44 doubles pairing, Zach Fuchs and Wally Thayne, picked up their third conference win against the Knights and improved to 10-0 as a team in 2025.
  • TJ Wells picked up his 11th singles win of the season, leading the team in singles record at 11-2, followed closely by Fuchs at 11-3.
  • BYU improved to 12-4 on the season and moved to 1-2 in Big 12 play.

TCU Notes

  • The Horned Frogs are led by head coach David Roditi in his 15th season with the team. He is assisted by Devin Bowen in his 11th season and Scott Perelman in his first.
  • TCU is the defending national champion, winning its first championship in 2024, and is ranked No. 2 in the nation.
  • The Horned Frogs also boast the No. 1 doubles team in the nation, Pedro Vives and Lui Maxted, they have another ranked pair at No. 56, Jack Pinnington and Cooper Woestendick.
  • TCU also has four ranked singles players, No. 2 Vives, No. 15 Pinnington, No. 20 Maxted and No. 72 Woestendick.
  • The Horned Frogs are 15-2 on their season and 3-0 in the Big 12.
