PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s golf will head to Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club to tee off the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on April 7-8 in Maricopa, Arizona.

The Cougars have not participated in the Cowgirl Classic since it was hosted by Oklahoma State in 2020.

In its last tournament, BYU finished in 10th at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, and Lily McCauley was the top finisher on the team with a tie for 22nd.

The 21-team field at Southern Dunes GC will consist of host Wyoming, New Mexico, UNLV, UC Riverside, New Mexico State, Long Beach State, Santa Clara, Eastern Washington, Oral Roberts, Iowa State, Arizona State, Gonzaga, UTEP, Southern Utah, Nevada, Boise State, Grand Canyon, Sacramento State, Montana and Fresno State.

BYU’s lineup will include Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan, Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul, McCauley, Whitney Banz and Ava Schroeder. Berlin Long will participate as an individual in Maricopa.

The Cougars will tee off the event for rounds one and two on Monday at 8:30 a.m. MDT. Follow live scoring on Scoreboard, with live updates on Instagram and X.
