NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recognized BYU men’s track & field as an All-Academic Team, 21 athletes earned individual All-Academic honors, the organization announced Monday afternoon.
BYU posted a team GPA of 3.43 to earn the accolade, led by its All-Academic athletes.

To qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must post a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. Students must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the certifying institution and meet the athletic criteria during either the indoor season, the outdoor season, or both. Athletically, students must either finish the indoor season ranked in the top 96 of an individual championship event or top 48 of a championship relay, or participate in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships or finish the outdoor season ranked in the top 48 in their respective region (East or West) on the TFRRS descending order list.
