PROVO, Utah — The BYU football team held its first 2026 fall camp practice on Wednesday morning.
The Cougars kick off their 2026 campaign with four weeks of fall camp leading up to the September 5 matchup with Utah Tech at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
Single-game tickets for 2026 are on sale now.
Players and coaches returned to work together for the first offical practice, with players in jerseys and helmets while they ramp up to full pads in the second week.
Head coach Kalani Sitake addressed the media following Wednesday's session, along with running back LJ Martin and linebacker Isaiah Glasker.
Coach Sitake on where the team is at after the summer:
“We’re way further ahead than we were last year, even with the new guys that came in, you can’t even tell that they’re new anymore. The guys work really hard in the summer, and it’s paid off a lot.”
Coach Sitake on day one:
“It’s good, you can see the continuity we had from last year, the momentum on all three phases. Justin Ena with the special teams, super happy with what he has done from January to now. K-Pop has done a great job with the defense, so the transition has been really good going into fall camp.”
Coach Sitake on his favorite part of being the head coach at BYU:
“Doing everything I can to help these young men and doing what I can to represent Cougar Nation, because I am a fan first when it all comes down to it.”
