- Sister, Naomi, plays volleyball at Yavapai College (2021-22), where she transferred from Utah State Eastern (2020)
- Enjoys roller skating and fishing
Before BYU
- Prepped at Bingham High School where he had a standout two-way career playing offense and defense
- Signed with BYU in 2021 as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN
- Rated No. 17 recruit in the state of Utah by 247Sports
- Utah 6A All-State Second Team selection
- Led the Miners with 48 receptions for 811 yards and nine touchdowns in 2020
- Totaled 31 tackles and three interceptions during his senior year
- Played varsity basketball at Bingham
- Also recruited by Utah, Utah State and Weber State
