Before BYU
- Utah state cross country runner up in 2011, 2012 and 2013
- All-state in cross country in 2012
- Academic all-state athlete
- Won three state titles as a member of the Davis High School track team
- Took third at 2011 Nike cross country nationals, 13th in 2012
- High school coach was Corbin Talley
