Before BYU
- Four-time letter winner in cross country
- Three-time letter winner in track
- Named to the Academic All-Region Team six times
- Helped post a school record in cross country of no losing seasons in four years
- Seven-time All-Region selection, four in cross country and three in track
- Region co-champ tied with teammate Chandler Goodwin
- Fastest Utah miler with 4:06
- Two-time individual state champ in the 1600m and 3200m
- Team won the national championship twice
- Two-time team runner-up in cross country
- Ranked fifth in the nation in the mile in 2001
- Ran in the Arcadia Race titled Dream Mile 12 of the fastest milers in the nation competed
