- National high school All-American and All-Orange County swim team
- Six-time individual finalist in the Southern California CIF Division 1 competition
- Six-time individual finalist at the Speedo Junior Nationals
- Participated in water polo in high school
- Placed seventh at the state championships
- Also recruited by LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, Harvard, Princeton, Duke, Navy, Northwestern, Arizona, Kentucky, Utah, TCU, Iowa, West Virginia and Cal State Bakersfield
