- Got started with tennis by playing against the house wall every day after school during her grandfather's naptime
- She then went to a local club to practice
- She loves tennis because it requires a lot of skill and talent
- Favorite players are Pete Sampras and Steffi Graf
Before BYU
- Hanni has played team tennis since she was 10-years-old
- Ranked in the top 15 in Hamburg and in the top 500 in all of Germany
- Best team she ever competed against was Oberliga
- Won her club tournament every year since the age of 12
