- Rana became interested in tennis as a 10-year-old when she passed she some tennis courts and decided she'd give tennis a try
- She's an aggressive base line player who loves making winner shots and having control on the court
- Favorite athletes are Kim Clijsters and Roger Federer
Before BYU
- Played in the African Championship in 2004
- Placed first in women's events and helped team to second place finish
- Took second place in the 2003 Jordon ITF, as well Lebanon 2003, and Ahly ITF 2004
- Placed first in Syria 2004 and 2005
- Also participated for her school in all school tournaments
