- It was her dream to play and represent BYU
Before BYU
- Played at Alta High School under Karl Packer
- Received high honor cords and honor roll
- Lettered in tennis all four years
- Lead team to its first state championship in school history in 2007
- Repeated as state champion in 2008
- Captained team in 2007, 2008
- Ranked No. 5 in the Intermountain section
- Won two sectional championships in doubles
- Was ranked in the top 250 in the nation
