- Parents are Alan and Melinda Clark LeCheminant
- Has two sisters and one brother
- Both sisters also play volleyball while her dad was on the ski team at BYU and her mom high-jumped for BYU and Texas A&M, becoming the NCAA Champion in the high jump in 1989 at a height of 6-feet-0 3/4 at the meet hosted in Provo
- Sports hero is Michael Jordan and non-sports hero is Emma Smith
- Enjoys reading, playing with kids, making porcelain dolls and other arts and crafts, taking pictures and being outside
- Also recruited by Utah, UNLV, Utah State, Maryland, Lamar, South Carolina, West Virginia, Southern Utah and Virginia

Before BYU
- Played for Club V under coach Reed Carlson
- Won the Inter Mountain Region and finished 38th at the Junior Olympics in 2008
- Team captain
- Three-year varsity letterwinner at Layton High School
- Named All-Region 1 First Team by the Ogden Standard Examiner
- Garnered all-state honorable mention while helping her team win the region championship and place fifth at the state championship tournament in 2008
- Named a Standard Examiner Prep of the Week and Deseret News Student-Athlete of the Week during the season
- Career highs of 25 kills, eight blocks and five service aces
- Academic honors include Student of the Month as both a freshman and a junior
- Active in Book Club and HOSA
- Named all-state honorable mention in basketball
