The following notes are from BYU's 27-0 loss to No. 12/13 LSU in the Advocare Texas Kickoff.

TEAM NOTES

BYU played in the Superdome for just the second time in school history. In 2009, BYU defeated Tulane 54-3.

The Cougars held the ball for just 18:06. It was just the fourth time since 1975 that BYU has held the ball for less than 19 minutes.

Rushing for a net (-5) yards, BYU was held in the negative for the first time since 2003 (-5, L, 18-14, Stanford).

The 97 total yards of offense are the fewest BYU has had since 92 against Iowa State in 1974.  

BYU was shut out for just the third time in 528 games dating back to 1975.

PLAYER NOTES

Marvin Hifo posted a career-high 10 tackles, leading the Cougars in that category.

The Warner brothers, Fred and Troy, combined for 17 total tackles with nine for Troy and eight for Fred. It was a career high for Troy.

Matt Bushman led the Cougars with four receptions for 43 yards.
