The Series
BYU picked up its 50th win in the series with Utah State dating back to 1922. The Cougars improved to 50-37-3 and evened the overall series in Logan at 19-19-1.
Ranked Team
BYU improved to 14-2 under head coach Kalani Sitake when playing as a ranked team.
Turn It Over
BYU won its 19th consecutive game when positive or even in the turnover margin after finishing the game +2. BYU did not turn the ball over tonight and grabbed two interceptions. The Cougars were No. 8 nationally in turnover margin entering the game.

BYU improved to 5-0 for just the seventh time in the history of the program. The previous 5-0 starts include 1979, 1981, 1984, 2001, 2008 and 2020. It is the first time the school has gone 5-0 to start a season.
Stopping the run
BYU held Utah State to just 22 rushing yards. It was the Aggies’ lowest output since 2019 and snapped a streak of 16 consecutive games of 100 or more. Utah State entered the game averaging 213.5 rushing yards per game, No. 24 nationally.
PLAYER NOTES
Tyler Allgeier
The running back had a career night, posting 218 rushing yards on 22 carries and three touchdowns. The 218 yards were No. 8 in school history for a single game. He had runs of 67 and 59 yards. It topped his previous career high of 173 (UCF, 2020) and also set a new personal best for rushing touchdowns with the trifecta. He added 22 receiving yards on three catches.
Baylor Romney
Romney was 15 of 19 for 187 and one touchdown in the first half. He started the game with eight consecutive completions.
Jake Oldroyd
Oldroyd made his first field goal (49 yards) to extend his consecutive streak to 16 makes in a row, setting a BYU record previously held by Owen Pochman’s 15. He missed his next attempt from 46 yards to end the streak but started a new one with a 32-yarder in the fourth quarter. He was also 4 of 4 on PATs.
Ryan Rehkow
Punter Ryan Rehkow had four punts for 187 yards, an average of 46.8 yards. He had two of 50 yards or more and two inside the 20. The Ray Guy watch list honoree has 21 punts this season and 13 have gone 50 yards or more.
