Feterik, who started the night in eighth place, passed Steve Sarkisian (7,464 yds.), Marc Wilson (7,637 yds.) and Steve Young (7,733 yds.) to take over fifth place. Feterik has 7,756 passing yards throughout his career.
Junior receiver Margin Hooks tallied a season-high 143 yards receiving on the night, marking his 5th 100-yard game on the season.
Running back Will Snowden grabbed a Feterik pass for nine yards in the third quarter, marking the 18th different receiver used in the BYU offense this season.
With 3:59 remaining in the third quarter, BYU kicker Owen Pochman connected on a 32-yard field goal, marking his school-record 14th straight field goal. Pochman also nailed his 26th and 27th straight PAT and took over the No. 2 spot on the Cougars all-time scoring list with 241 career points. Jamal Willis now ranks third with 240 points and Kurt Gunther still leads all scorers with 243 points.
