Cougars host Colorado College in first exhibition

PROVO, Utah – The BYU men's basketball team will play their first exhibition of the year on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. MDT in the Marriott Center against the Colorado College Tigers.

The game will be televised live on BYUtv and broadcast on the Cougar IMG Sports Network on KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

Colorado College will be the first opponent junior-laden and newcomer-heavy BYU will face this season. Juniors Tyler Haws, Matt Carlino, Josh Sharp, Nate Austin, Anson Winder and Skyler Halford will team with sophomore Kyle Collinsworth returning after a two-year mission and freshman signees Eric Mika, Luke Worthington and Frank Bartley IV.

BYU is 11-5-6 against Colorado College with all their games having been played between 1923 and 1936. Colorado College currently plays in the Division III Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Tigers (16-11, 11-4) finished second last season in league play. Colorado College has four seniors returning this year. Two of the four played in a 60-57 overtime upset of Air Force Academy their freshman year.

Saturday's exhibition will be the first of two for the Cougars who will also take on Alaska Anchorage on Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Marriott Center.
