BYU vs. Weber State Game Notes

BYU basketball will play its second-straight in-state game when the Cougars take on Weber State Saturday at 1 p.m. MST at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake. The game will be televised live on BYUtv and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, KSL NewsRadio 102.7 FM/1160 AM and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143.

  • Kyle Collinsworth posted his seventh career triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists vs. Belmont to break a tie with Derek Anderson (Drexel) and Shaquille O’Neal (LSU) for the NCAA career record.
  • Chase Fischer has been Mr. Second Half for the Cougars over the last two games. After going scoreless in the first half against Belmont, Fischer played all 20 second half minutes, hit 5 3-pointers and scored 19 points. At Utah, Fischer scored all 26 of his points in the second half, hitting 8 of 13 FGs and 7 of 8 FTs.
  • Coach Dave Rose is BYU’s all-time leader in winning percentage at 74.4 percent and second in career wins at 261. He has led the Cougars to 10-straight 20-win seasons and 10-straight postseason appearances, including eight NCAA tournament appearances during that stretch.
