Different Night, Different Story

After needing to overcome a 13-point halftime deficit in the second round, BYU led for 37:32 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Lions. The Cougars also shot 68.5 percent from the field in the first half, their second-highest FG percentage in the opening 20 minutes this season. 

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

BYU has now won multiple games in the UCU WCC tournament for the fourth time during its 12-year tenure in the league. 

Taking Their Chances

BYU improved to 8-1 on the season when shooting 50 percent or better from the field. 

PLAYERS NOTES

Mr. Do It All

Jaxson Robinson scored in double figures for a third straight game, tying a career-high, as the sophomore finished with 13 points. He also had a career-high eight rebounds to go along with a steal and assist. 

Moving Up The List

With his four 3-point attempts, Robinson moved into a tie with Matt Carlino (2013-14) for the 14th most 3-point attempts in a single season in program history (177). 

Not Trying To Be Rudi

Rudi Williamsled the Cougars in scoring for the 8th time this season as he finished with 23 points, going 5-of-12 from the field, 2-of-5 from three and 11-of-12 from the free throw line. His 11 makes from the charity stripe are tied for the fifth-most in a conference tournament game in program history. 

Dallin From Deep

Dallin Hall tied a career-high with three 3-pointers as the freshman scored all of his nine points in the first half.
