Divers finish BYU Invite with two first place finishes

Day two of the BYU Diving Invitational ended on Saturday with a repeat outcome on the men's side and the women finding a win on the dives of another freshman. The Cougars ended the meet with dual wins on the platform.

The men competed on the 1-meter on day two with the same outcome in the top two spots. Senior Scott Randall finished second with a score of 297.65 to eventual winner, and winner of the 3-meter of the day before, Utah's Sterling Richards who posted a score of 302.6.

On the women's side, who saw freshman Kristin Pitt post a win on the 1-meter on day one, saw another freshman Angela Nelson placing first on the 3-meter with a score of 458.1. The Cougars also picked up a second place finish in the event with returned letter-winner Aubrey Low scoring 448.25.

On the final event of the weekend Low would capture her own victory with a first place finish on the platform with a score of 197.55 and Nelson placing second with 179.55. Randall would also pick up an individual win on the platform posting a score of 210.65.

The swimmers and divers will now break from competition until the 8th of January for the men and January 15th for the women when the teams will face Washington and Colorado State.
