PROVO, Utah -- In the final day of competition at the BYU Invitational, freshmen Dennis Christensen and Jacob Foutz threw unattached in the shot put finals, taking fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Christensen’s best throw measured 51-10.75 and Foutz grabbed the fifth-best mark with 49-00.50.

“Overall it was a successful meet,” head coach Mark Robison said. “Foutz and Christensen threw well today. I was pleased with a lot of our athletes and thought Fan Fan and Gruenewald ran very well yesterday.”

In the weight throw finals, Foutz placed first with a throw of 54-09.75. Joseph Stull and Craig Merkley came in second and third, respectively, with marks of 51-05.75 and 44-.04.00.
