PROVO, Utah— BYU women’s basketball plays its third-straight home West Coast Conference game this week, hosting San Diego on Saturday, January 11, at 2 p.m., MST. The game between the Cougars and Toreros will be carried live on BYUtv and on the BYUtv App.

- In the third week of league play, BYU is 7-7 overall with a 2-2 conference record on the year
- BYU ranks seventh nationally in total blocked shots; ninth in total blocked shots per game; 20th in field goal percentage defense
- Two players are scoring in double figures for the Cougars, led by 14.1 points from junior guard Paisley Johnson; senior guard Brenna Chase Drollinger follows contributing 10.9 points per contest; Drollinger currently ranks 26th all-time in career points with 1,102; she’s currently the team’s assists and steals leader with 4.0 and 1.9 averages, respectively
- Sara Hamson leads the way in rebounds and blocks, pulling down 8.3 boards a game and getting 3.9 blocks a contest; she ranks second in the nation in blocked shots and third in blocked shots per game
- After 14 games played, BYU is averaging 60.9 points and pulls down 41.8 rebounds a contest
- The Cougars are holding opponents to just 57.4 points and are allowing only 37 rebounds a game
- In the overall series vs. San Diego, BYU leads 12-6; the Toreros are 1-6 when playing in Provo; in last year’s contests, the Cougars swept the series

- San Diego has compiled an 8-7, 2-2 record on the season with league wins at LMU and vs. Portland; the two conference losses are at Pepperdine and vs. Gonzaga
- The Toreros have two players putting up double digits in points with 12.3 points from Madison Pollock and 12 points a game from Myah Pace; in the rebounds category, Patricia Brossmann leads the way pulling down a team-best 6.4 boards a contest; Jordyn Edwards is the team’s assist leader with a 4.2 average; Pace tops the list in steals (3.5) and (0.73) in blocks
- USD is averaging 63.1 points and pulls down 36.2 rebounds a contest
- San Diego was picked to finish in eighth place in this year’s conference race as voted on by the league’s head coaches last October
- Head coach Cindy Fisher is in her 15th season at the helm of the women’s basketball program at San Diego where she has compiled a 270-184 record
