STILLWATER, Okla. – Rose Huang carded a 75 in the second round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship, Saturday.
"Rose played another solid round," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "She is hanging-in in hard conditions. It is nice to see her adjust and adapt to each shot with it being so difficult."
The junior finished the second round tied for 13th with 36-hole total of 145. Firing a 75 (+3) on the second day, Huang tied with six other individuals. Huang is one shot behind Jaclyn Lee (Ohio State) and Mariel Galdiano (UCLA) who are tied for 11th and six strokes behind three individuals tied for first.
Huang started on the back nine birdying holes 11 and 15. Finishing on the front nine, she birdied the par-3 sixth hole to finish the second round with a total of 75 (+3).
Huang already played her third-round on Thursday due to BYU's policy of not playing on Sunday. She will continue competing on Monday.
