A "double dual" highlights this week as BYU women’s swim team competes against Oregon State and Utah on Friday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Ute Natatorium in Salt Lake City.

"This is the first official meet of the season against a pair Pac-12 teams", BYU head coach John Brooks said. "Last year, the dual with Oregon State came down to the last event, so it should be an exciting competition. We are prepping so that the women’s team will be ready to race!"

There will be 14 different events that participants will compete in throughout the evening. For the second time in a one-month span, the Cougars will match-up against the Utes, this time on Utah's home territory.

However, while the three teams compete at the same time this week, BYU's results will only be scored against Oregon State, and Utah's results will be scored against OSU. Last Thursday, the Cougars competed in several relay events that were part of a non-scoring meet with Utah in Provo. Unlike the last event, only the women’s swim team will be attending this double dual.

Oregon State held its first swim meet on Sept. 24, a black and orange event. This will be OSU's first event this season swimming against another school.  With top swimmers on all three teams, the event should be aggressive and exciting.

The meet will offer free admission to fans and will be open to the public. For Cougar fans that would like to attend, directions to the Ute Natatorium can be found on the BYU Cougars website.
