PROVO, Utah—The women’s track and field team will host their only home meet of the outdoor season this weekend at the Clarence F. Robison Invitational at BYU.
"The Robison Invitational is the biggest home meet of the year,” head coach Ed Eyestone said. “We are really looking forward to it as we typically get lots of regional qualifiers when the weather is good.”
Freshman Shea Martinez will be looking to improve her mark in the 800m, while senior Sarah Yingling will be trying for a qualifying mark in the mile. Freshman heptathlete Nicole Laws is hoping to post her best score of the season.
The Clarence F. Robison track meet began Wednesday with the multi events, and will proceed until Saturday. Saturday at 12:45 p.m. there will be a senior ceremony honoring the current seniors and their achievements at BYU. This is the first year the seniors will be honored at a special ceremony, and it will become an annual event at the Robison Invitational.
The meet will take place at the Clarence F. Robison track & field complex with events beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
