PROVO, Utah – No. 13 BYU women’s volleyball stays at home this week for senior night against league foe San Diego.
This is the final regular-season home match of the year for the Cougars (21-4, 12-2 West Coast Conference).
BYU swept both Saint Mary’s and Pacific last week to stay at the top of the league with a two-match margin.
San Diego
- The Cougars play the Toreros (16-10, 9-5 WCC) Friday at 7:30 p.m. MST at the Smith Fieldhouse.
- San Diego pulled out a five-set victory against BYU at its home court earlier this season.
- The Toreros lead the overall series 6-3.
- Each team has won on its home court in each of the past two seasons.
The Cougars are led by opposite Jennifer Hamson’s 3.60 kills per set and Camry Godfrey Willardson’s 9.59 assist average. Whitney Young leads the team and nation in blocks, averaging 1.90 per set while Ciara Parker paces the team defensively with 3.99 digs per set.
