No. 10 BYU home for Pacific & Saint Mary’s

PROVO, Utah – No. 10 BYU women’s volleyball stays at home this week, facing Pacific and Saint Mary’s.

Pacific

  • The Cougars (21-2, 10-1 West Coast Conference) face the Tigers Thursday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. MDT at the Smith Fieldhouse.
  • BYU swept Pacific earlier this season in Stockton. The Cougars have won 11-straight matches against the Tigers.
  • BYU holds a 13-7 advantage in the overall series history.
  • Pacific is 12-11 overall this season and 7-5 in WCC play, putting it in fourth place in the current standings.

Saint Mary’s

  • The Cougars will finish up the week playing the Gaels Saturday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. MDT at the Smith Fieldhouse.
  • BYU won a five-set come-from-behind thriller in Moraga earlier this season in the first meeting between the two teams.
  • The Cougars have won seven-straight matches against Saint Mary’s and hold a 12-7 advantage in the overall series history.
  • The Gaels are 7-15 overall so far this year, including a 3-9 WCC record – good for ninth in the league standings.

Thursday’s match against Pacific will be the annual Pink Match. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Fans with Pass of All Passes will be able to get into Saturday’s match against Saint Mary’s for free. Additionally, there will be free autographs from the team at the conclusion of the match.
