Football Season Ticket Deadline - May 15

PROVO -- BYU football season ticket holders have until Wednesday, May 15 to renew their season-tickets for the 2002 season. Those who renew their season tickets before the deadline will receive priority for last year's seat location.

Season tickets can be renewed in person at the Marriott Center ticket office Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (MDT). Orders can also be taken over the phone by calling (800) 322-BYU1 or (801) 378-BYU1. Fans also have the option of purchasing their season tickets on-line at www.byutickets.com.

With a high-powered offense and re-tooled defense, featuring four All-America candidates in Reno Mahe (WR), Dustin Rykert (OL), Spencer Nead (TE) and Jernaro Gilford (CB), the Cougars will look to defend the MWC Championship and make a run at another post-season bowl appearance. It's guaranteed to be another season fans won't want to miss.

The 2002 campaign will feature six home games for the Cougars, including two non-conference and four MWC games. The defending MWC champions will kickoff the season with back-to-back games at LaVell Edwards Stadium, beginning Thursday, Aug. 29 against Syracuse. On Saturday, Sept. 6, BYU will look to even the score against Hawaii, as the Warriors make their first trip to Provo since 1997.

After four straight road games, the Cougars will return to Provo to take on a high-powered UNLV squad, led by the always-dangerous Jason Thomas. After a quick trip to Colorado State on Oct. 24, BYU will return to Edwards Stadium for three straight home games, including San Diego State on Nov. 2, Wyoming on Nov. 9 and New Mexico on Nov. 16.
