PROVO -- For the first time since the program began in 1995, BYU students will now be able to purchase the Student All-Sport Card on line beginning, Wednesday, April 9, 2003.

The All-Sport Card provides students a pass into all BYU regular season Athletic events. Each pass comes with a rotated season ticket for Cougar football, general admission seating in the student section for men's basketball and first-come-first-served seating for every other sport -- a total of 19 NCAA sports for just $85.

Over the past several years the Student All-Sport Pass has been in high demand. Last year, many students waited until the day of the game to purchase and missed out on the rotated seats. With the first game of the 2003 season open scheduled before school begins in the fall (Georgia Tech on August 28), students are now able to buy the All-Sport Pass early without having to be on campus.

"We have worked closely with BYU vice president Janet Scharman and BYU student body president Rob Foster to make sure we have a system in place that will be beneficial for the student body," said BYU special events ticket manager David Miles. "The new on-line system should make it easier for students to purchase the card and sit with their friends."

Rotated football tickets are limited in 14,610 tickets and will sell out. Approximately 700 east sideline seats have been added to the rotation for the 2003 season. Non-rotated seats will be sold after all rotated tickets are gone.

Students may order one or two All-Sports Cards at $85 each.

Only BYU students -- full, part-time, transfers and incoming freshman -- may purchase the All-Sport Pass from April 9 until July 31.

Students from other colleges/universities may order beginning August 1. Distribution of the rotated football season tickets and All-Sport Card begins August 6, 2003.

"We believe the new distribution program will make it easier for students to purchase the All-Sports Card," said BYU marketing director Tony Jewkes. "The early order period for BYU students only will insure that students attending BYU will have the first opportunity to purchase rotated football seats."

Online sales require purchase with a credit card. At the conclusion of the transaction, the student will receive an email confirmation to be printed off and redeemed for the All Sport Card. No phone or mail orders can be accepted because a confirmation page must be printed at the conclusion of the transaction. Students not able to access the Internet may purchase in person at the Marriott Center Ticket Office.

Beginning August 6, students may bring a student ID card, confirmation page and their friends to the Marriott Center and pick up the rotated football season tickets and All-Sport Cards. Those who are unable to come to the Marriott Center can simply give their confirmation page to a friend who can assure all the tickets are together. Seats are rotated, so their is no advantage for being there early on August 6.

Pre-ordered All-Sport Cards will be held on will-call at the Marriott Center Ticket Office throughout the season.

The Student All-Sport Card is intended for the use of university and college students and their spouses or dependent children. A valid student ID card is required to be shown at the gate for all but students' dependent children. Students wishing to allow others to use the All-Sport Card, may do so for an additional fee of $5 per game for football and $3 per game for all other sports.
