Keohohou Named NFCA First-team All-American for Third Straight Year

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Junior outfielder Oli Keohohou was named NFCA First-team All-American for the third consecutive season, Wednesday. A native of Newbury Park, Calif., Keohohou finished third in the nation in home runs with 20 (0.38 per game, ninth place all-time).

Keohohou earned West All-Region First Team honors and was named Mountain West Conference Co-Player of the Year this season, also. Keohohou finished 18th in the nation in batting average with .426 and 29th in the nation in RBI with 0.89 per game. She led the MWC in almost every offensive category.

"Keohohou has grown a lot as a player and a person and is becoming more of a vocal leader on our team," head coach Gordon Eakin said. "I believe that she will have an incredible season next year."

Keohohou had an amazing 1.016 slugging percentage ties her for third all-time in a season with Stacey Nuveman of UCLA. Her career slugging percentage of 0.968 currently places her first on the all-time list.

She strikes feat in opposing pitchers as she drew 60 walks this season. Keohohou has three of the top 10 spots for walks in a season at no. 5, 7, and 10. She is already fourth all-time in walks with 200. Her career home run total of 59 places her No. 6 all-time but puts her 31 behind the record of 90 set by Nuveman last season.

With all this, Keohohou still has her senior season of eligibility to look forward to next season.
