PROVO -- Senior All-American Aleisha Rose was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week on Tuesday after setting three school records as well as scoring the tying goal against No. 14 Kentucky and then assisting on the game winner last week.
Rose, who was also named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, tallied four assists in the Cougars' win over Southern Utah. The Cougars traveled to Lexington, Ky., last week for the Kentucky Invitational where Rose was instrumental in the defeat of the No. 14 Wildcats. Rose scored a goal off a Jennifer Fielding assist in the first period to tie the game at 1-1, then in the second she connected with Lydia Ojuka for the game-winning goal.
In all Rose tallied five assists and two goals on the week, good enough to earn her one of 11 spots on the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week.
