Another National Nod For Rose

PROVO -- For the second time this week, senior All-American Aleisha Rose was honored with national recognition for her dominant play during last week's games with the Cougars, this time Soccer America named her to its Team of the Week.

Earlier this week Rose was also named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week and was also named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Last week Rose set three Cougar records, recorded four assists against Southern Utah, scored the tying goal and then assisted in the game-winning goal in the Cougars' win over No. 14 Kentucky.

Rose has become the most decorated soccer player in BYU history as she is a Hermann Trophy candidate, a 2003 pre-season All-American, has racked up three-consecutive All-American and first-team All-MWC citations, holds the career record for assists, the record for most assists in a single game, the record for most assists in a game at South Stadium, was named the 2000 MWC Freshman of the Year and was the 2001 MWC Player of the Year.

Rose and the No. 21 Cougars (4-1-1) take to the field this weekend with games against Montana and Idaho State on Sept. 19, at 7:00 p.m. and on Sept. 20, at 8:00 p.m., respectively.
