PROVO -- For the fourth time in as many years, Aleisha Rose of the BYU women's soccer team was named an All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America along with adidas.
With this season's third-team NSCAA/adidas All-American honor, Rose completed a career sweep as an All-America with two first-team awards a second-team honor and this year's third-team citation.
Rose was also recognized for her scholastic achievement by being named a first-team NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-American, the first such honor of her career.
As a senior on this year's team, Rose lead the Cougars to their best postseason finish in history as BYU advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament and finished with a No. 14 national ranking.
This season Rose lead the Mountain West Conference in assists, assists per game and total points. She was named the MWC Defensive Player of the Year, was a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy and is a finalist for the Soccer Buzz Player of the Year.
Rose will leave BYU as the most decorated soccer athlete in the school's history with other notable awards such as the 2001 Chevy Young Female Athlete of the Year and the ESPN Freshman of the Year to her credit.
