PROVO -- Senior All-American Aleisha Rose and teammate freshman Nicole Jensen of the BYU women's soccer team were both recognized by Soccer Buzz Magazine for their outstanding contributions on the field in the 2003 season.
Rose, a four-time All-American, received All-America and All-Region honors from the national publication as she was named a second team All-American and a first team All-West Region athlete for 2003.
The Lakewood, Colo. native made a career sweep in the All-West Region as she garnered first-team honors in all four of her seasons at BYU.
Jensen, also a Lakewood, Colo. native, earned third team Freshman All-America and third team All-West Region honors for her strong defensive presence in the Cougar backfield. It was Jensen's penalty kick against No. 15 Villanova that propelled the Cougars into their first NCAA Elite Eight appearance.
