PROVO -- The Mountain West Conference announced its Fall 2003 Academic All-MWC team with the BYU women's soccer team landing nine athletes on the team.
Senior Aleisha Rose, a 2003 NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-American, received the conference honor as did fellow seniors Terra Bigelow, Jennifer Fielding and Britney Holman.
Also making the Academic All-MWC team from BYU are four sophomores; Natalie Evans, Katie Gabbart, Charlene Lui and Ashley Smith, and one freshman; Claire Thomas.
To be eligible for the team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The student-athlete must also be a starter or significant contributor to their respective institution's team.
