PROVO -- With arguably the best home schedule ever just around the corner, including home games against Notre Dame and defending national champion USC, the season-ticket renewal period and new-season ticket orders will begin Thursday, April 1.
"Based on the high degree of interest spurred by the 2004 schedule, it is very possible that LaVell Edwards Stadium will sell out with season tickets," men's athletics director Val Hale said. "If in fact season tickets do sell out, there will be no single-game tickets available for the USC and Notre Dame games.
"In 1993, when Notre Dame last visited Provo, season tickets sold out. Many Irish fans purchased BYU season tickets to assure themselves a ticket to the BYU-Notre Dame game. Since the Trojans are the defending national champions and likely will be ranked No. 1 to begin the season, interest is also very high for that game. BYU and non-BYU fans will be vying for tickets to those games, and the only way to assure a seat to those games will be to purchase season tickets early."
Renewal information and season ticket applications will be sent to last year's season-ticket holders in late March. Seating priority for season tickets will be given to Cougar Club members and then to last year's season-ticket holders that renew before the April, 30 deadline.
Those who did not purchase season tickets last year may contact the Marriott Center Ticket Office at 378-BYU1 or 1-800-378-BYU1, or go online at www.byutickets.com, beginning Thursday, April 1 to place orders for season tickets. Actual seat locations will be allocated after Cougar Club members and last year's season ticket holders, based on the date orders are received.
Season ticket prices will not increase this season; however, if still available, single-game tickets will be higher for the Notre Dame and USC games if they are not sold out by the time they are scheduled to go on sale in late August. Thus, season ticket holders will receive the best ticket value. In addition to USC and Notre Dame, we're very excited about our home conference games which include UNLV, Wyoming, San Diego State and New Mexico.
